Whether for thermal efficiency, safety or sustainability in industrial insulation: KIMMCO-ISOVER offers a range of mineral wool materials designed to suit different needs and operational temperature up to 750 °C. , for power generation, oil and gas, chemical and other processing industry.
Boilers, kettles and industrial ovens place very high demands on insulation systems. Because they operate at very high temperatures, the main purpose of the insulation system is to protect personnel from skin burns, which can occur at temperatures above 60°C. A well designed insulation system will, however, also considerably reduce energy usage and CO2 emissions, helping to increase of the overall efficiency of the insulated item or system.
Insulation of flue gas or exhaust duct sytems, including filtering equipment and industrial chimneys, is vital to a plant's energy flow management and process control. Thermal insulation is key to reducing heat loss and protecting personnel working on the plant. Even more important is the control of flue gas temperature to prevent condensation of, for instance, sulphuric acid, which will lead to corrosion and reduction in the service life and/or functionality of the whole system.
Storage tanks and vessels in industry are as variable in size, shape and media temperature as the processes they support. However, they all have one thing in common - the need for effective insulation that meets all of the requirements of the process in terms of maintaining stability, preserving heat and cold, and satisfying all safety requirements, such as protecting personnel from hot or cold surfaces.
In addition to the main industrial process components, there are many other elements of process equipment and of the installation that are particularly challenging in terms of insulation. Heat exchangers, small vessels and turbines are just some of the areas for which KIMMCO-ISOVER is able to offer standard, flexible and multi-purpose insulation products, as well as customised solutions to meet individual customer needs.
