KIMMCO wins 1st place at the fifth edition of prestigious HH the Amir Award for Outstanding Factories.
The award focuses on spreading the culture of institutional excellence in the industrial sector in Kuwait based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MANQA)” criteria.
The competition started over 7 months back by submitting a thorough qualification application covering multiple sections per department. After an intense filtration process KIMMCO made the cut into the 2nd round of 10 finalists under the large industrial establishments’ category. An independent judging committee conducted a full day onsite inspection and validation of submitted application.
The entire process concluded at a glittering ceremony held on Thursday 16th January 2020, where the Minister of Commerce and Industry Mr. Khaled Al-Roudhan presented the outstanding factories award to team KIMMCO, which was represented by Saud Al-Asfour, Advisor to Presidents Office and Manhal Jaweesh, Director Operations Kimmco.
This award was dedicated to stimulate competition between factories in accordance with international controls and standards. KIMMCO has been a customer centric company, consistently working on an integrated modernization management system; Saint Gobain approved TEL process, focusing on employee development, improving its safety standards, commitment towards environment thus certifying its products and processes in line with global standards.
In a message to the KIMMCO employees, Carlos Celades, Managing Direct KIMMCO ISOVER, extended a special thanks to each of the department heads and their teams who assisted during the entire process and plant inspection visit. He also encouraged all the employees to continue believing in the company dreams, their ability to achieve them by being focused, proud of the products, and continue putting their best foot forward.
